Kozlowski decided to get retire from her acting career in 2001 after twenty years journey which earned her a Golden Globe Award nomination. She made her debut in the 1981-1982 off-Broadway production, How It All Began. She played the role of Miss Forsythe on Broadway show of Death of a Salesman in 1984 and appeared in the same role in its film version in the following year.
